The Tran family met me at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, Bucks County for their October family session, and the setting couldn’t have been more fitting. With golden light streaming through the trees and the historic stone architecture surrounding us, the entire evening felt warm, peaceful, and full of connection.
This beautiful family recently welcomed their six-month-old daughter, officially becoming a family of four. One of the most touching parts of the session was watching her older sister — poised, gentle, and completely in love with her baby sister.
There is something uniquely tender about a teenage big sister and a baby sibling. The way she held her. The quiet confidence in her smile. The softness in her eyes when she looked down at her baby sister. It wasn’t chaotic or rushed — it was calm, intentional, and full of genuine affection.
Fonthill Castle is one of my favorite Bucks County locations for family portraits because it offers both elegance and warmth. In October especially, the light filters through the trees in the most beautiful way, creating a natural glow that complements moments like these — the ones that feel both ordinary and deeply significant at the same time.
