Photographing families in their own homes is one of the most authentic ways to capture the newborn stage, and Shepherd’s session in Doylestown, PA, was a perfect example. I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family since their wedding in 2019, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow.
Shepherd’s big brother, Lincoln, just turned two, bringing lots of energy and personality to the session. Allie, a tender and thoughtful mother, balances Tyler’s fun, energetic spirit, creating a warm and lively home environment. These dynamics shine during in-home newborn photography sessions, where every detail—from blankets and toys to household touches—helps tell the story of the family’s life.
In-home newborn sessions are about more than posed photos—they capture real life. From a mother cradling her newborn to a father engaging with a toddler, these moments become lasting memories. Items in the background, small details, and natural interactions all contribute to images that will be treasured for years to come.
It’s always an honor to witness and document a family’s growth over time. This session with Shepherd, Lincoln, and their parents highlights the joy, love, and everyday moments that make a family unique. These images will allow the boys to look back and see how thoughtfully they were raised in a home filled with love and laughter.
Thank you, Allie and Tyler, for inviting me into your home once again. In-home newborn photography sessions like this are a meaningful way to preserve the fleeting newborn stage and the real-life moments that make a family’s story unforgettable.
